ABOUT DTAA SOFTBALL

Delaware Township Athletic Association is a non-profit youth sports organization dedicated to teaching sport fundamentals and life skills through good sportsmanship, leadership and positive coaching. It is our goal to prepare girls to learn and play the game of softball in a fun, healthy and safe environment. We emphasize the importance of respect for teammates, opponents, coaches and officials. We not only strive to teach game skills, but life skills, as well as building lasting relationships with good friends.

We not only want to develop a hard working, knowledgeable and dedicated Softball athletes but to also develop a person with confidence, pride, integrity and respect

We want every player’s experience to lead her back to play year-after-year. We are dedicated to the advancement and long term player development. While winning is what each player, parent and coach strives for in recreational softball, winning will not be placed above good sportsmanship (respecting rules, opponents, officials, teammates, parents, and one’s self) or what is best for the team.

Softball is fun because of the relationships that are formed on the field, the team unity, and the ability to accomplish a common goal together.

At the U8 and U10 level we compete against teams in the River League (DTAA, Lambertville/West Amwell, New Hope/Solebury, Plumbstead, Upper Makefield and Hopewell Valley). At the U12 level we compete against teams in the Inter-Township League (ITL), which is comprised of DTAA, New Hope/Solebury, Plumbstead, Upper Makefield, Northampton, Newtown, Upper and Lower Southampton and Warminster.
